Telcordia-led program gets new member

Recognizing the challenge of IP service interconnection for converged services, VoIP application software provider BroadSoft has joined the Telcordia Service Interconnection Community.

Founded in March 2007, Telcordia says the initiative accelerates the adoption of VoIP and IMS-based services via IP interconnection and reduces the associated integration costs by helping to ensure that network elements and OSS interoperate with the Telcordia Service Interconnection Registry - a trusted, centrally managed, carrier-grade registry that enables inter-carrier routing and rating for both TDM- and IP-enabled services. Membership in the Telcordia Service Interconnection Community, which requires passing defined interoperability test cases, supports all stages of an IP service's life cycle, from infrastructure building to operations.
