Tele2 selects Comverse gateway

Tele2 has chosen the Comverse MMSC and Mobile Internet Gateway to enhance multimedia messaging and content services for its 24 million customers in 11 countries.

One of the reasons for the selection, Tele2 says, is Comverse's comprehensive multi-operator MMSC environment for multiple-country systems and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs).

Comverse MMSC enables several mobile operators to share the same hardware and infrastructure components while enjoying service differentiation through application customization.

The MVNO configuration provides high server utilization and added flexibility and choice to better match the specific needs of multinational groups such as Tele2.
