Telefonica International Wholesale Services has signed an agreement with Inmarsat for the distribution of the latter's broadband global area network (BGAN) service to its own channels.
According to Telefonica Wholesale, the agreement will enhance its product portfolio with a satellite service that offers mobile voice and broadband data access through a portable terminal. Inmarsat's BGAN service distribution also broadens Telefonica Wholesale's offerings to international carriers.
On the other hand, the agreement also grants Inmarsat access to the 19 countries worldwide in which Telefonica operates.
