TeliaSonera and Telenor given OK for network sharing JV

TeliaSonera and Telenor have been granted approval by the Danish telecoms regulator to form a joint venture for running their merged mobile networks. The new JV, branded Newco, will work to establish a common 2G, 3G and LTE infrastructure, and will also be allowed to sell or rent redundant antenna space to local competitors. However, the JV will not have responsibility for the core network, and both operators will continue to compete on services. Article
