TeliaSonera to build IP network for Finnish gaming firm

Finnish gaming company Veikkaus Oy has contracted TeliaSonera Finland to build a nationwide IP network for Veikkaus' game terminal network, which includes more than 3,000 subscriptions.

In a statement, the company said it IP network would a closed, nationwide network with secure connections from the agent points to its central systems.

The new IP network service would enable the introduction of new game terminals, and would replace the data communications network being used today.

The IP network and game terminals would be launched in spring next year, the statement said.
