Tellabs sues Fujitsu for infringement

Network equipment maker Tellabs filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Fujitsu and its Fujitsu affiliate in a US court, a Reuters report said.

The report said Tellabs is seeking both monetary damages and an injunction to prevent future infringement of Tellabs' intellectual property.

Tellabs said Fujitsu, a maker of optical and wireless networking technology, has infringed its US Patent No. 7,369,772.

It said the lawsuit concerns various Fujitsu products, including reconfigurable optical all/drop multiplexing systems and components that Fujitsu markets within its FLASHWAVE product line, the report said.

The complaint was filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Reuters report further said.
