TM Forum endorses Wholesale Applications Community

TM Forum has thrown its weight behind the Wholesale Applications Community initiative aiming to build a wholesale ecosystem for mobile application developers.

The Forum announced that it will work closely with the initiative, which already counts as members 24 leading mobile operators, as well as Samsung, LG and Sony Ericsson.

“The TM Forum has been calling for industry collaboration in this area for some time, and we strongly support the Wholesale Applications Community and its goals,” Forum CEO Keith Willetts said.

The majority of the initiative's members are already TM Forum participants, he added.

APAC operators taking part in the initiative are Bharti Airtel, China Mobile, China Unicom, KT, SingTel, Softbank and SK Telecom.
