TM Forum launches Frameworkx business services standard

TM Forum has launched Frameworkx, an integrated business architecture blueprint for service providers.

Frameworkx combines TM Forum's existing business process, information an application frameworks – dubbed eTOM, SID and TAM respectively – into what has been designed to be a full enterprise IT and process architecture.

It also adds the new Integration Framework, providing standardized interfaces and support tools.

The framework has been designed to help operators slash operational costs, while improving business agility.

Frameworks also supports external industry standards such as ITIL and TOGAF.

“We encourage common industry approaches that help us build a vibrant market delivering innovative software at realistic prices,” BT MD Phil Dance said.
