UK broadcasters: £180M not enough to combat LTE interference

UK digital TV broadcasters said that the offer from the government of £180 million to help homes equipped with Freeview (digital receivers) is inadequate to stop interference from LTE transmissions. Nearly two million Freeview homes are expected to suffer interference when LTE services are launched in the UK, with up to 10,000 homes being severely affected. The broadcasters have requested funds the government raised from the 800MHz auction be used to resolve the problem. Article
