UK machine to machine (M2M) companies are teaming up to boost their chances of winning global contracts.
The M2M Group is an association of companies with experience spanning several industries, including wireless connectivity, healthcare, smart metering, and digital media. The alliance aims to formalize existing cooperation between UK M2M companies, to improve their international standing.
“M2M companies from different sectors have often loosely collaborated together in the past, but we realized this could be far more effective by combining resources and focusing on international market opportunities,” explains Nigel Chadwick, founding director of M2M Group.
The group plans to pitch an end to end approach to M2M deployments, noting the value of the market is tipped to grow 26.1% in the five years to 2017, to $85.9 billion (€64.5 billion).
