UK managed services startup splashes cash

The UK’s newest managed services provider claims to have catapulted itself straight to the highest tiers of rival independent companies through two key acquisitions.

PMGC Technology states it has created the UK’s second-largest independent mobile solutions provider through the purchase of Premier Mobile and Phonebox. The acquisition brings the start up 54,000 connections and a pair of companies with annual revenues of £10 million (€12.2 million).

PMGC managing director, Jason Yeomans, says the focus is now on moving the firm from being “a pure play mobile provider to a telecoms and IT fully managed service provider.” He says the purchase of Phonebox boosts the firm’s ability to meet ambitious long term goals “that include IP voice, IT hosting and Cloud computing.”
