UK trials spy pill

Surveillance of individuals is not only about gleaning intel from cameras and communications. One company has developed a pill that tells your doctor when you've taken your medication using SMS or even Twitter, according to Textually.org.

Proteus Digital Health, developer of the Helius pill, claims it delivers health benefits by allowing doctors to accurately monitor how often patients take their medication, and also if extra care is needed once a patient returns home.

Helius, which is on trial in the UK, includes an extra pill that monitors drug levels internally, and an external patch that tracks the patient's movements and medication intake.
