US presidential candidates take debate to the web

The second of the three US presidential nominee debates was last night streamed live on video-sharing site Hulu.com.

The NBC and News Corp backed site has set up an election portal, which features clips from earlier debates and political sketches from various NBC and News Corp channels.

The third debate will also be streamed on Hulu in one week's time.

According to the Washington Post, at least 25,000 questions were submitted online for the debate, yet only four were selected by moderator Tom Brokaw.

Both camps have also been campaigning via video-sharing sites such as YouTube, with at least one Obama video getting nearly 5 million views.
