VimpelCom offers 3G in four Russian cities

VimpelCom has launched 3G networks in four cities: Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Chelyabinsk. The networks cover the central and some of the most densely populated districts in these cities.

It will continue to expand the coverage within these four cities and VimpelCom plans to launch 3G networks in another 40 cities by the end of 2008.

The operator offers seven tariff plans designed to make broadband internet access appeal to the widest range of users.
