Vivendi has appointed former Vodafone executive Michel Combes as the new chairman and chief executive officer of French mobile operator SFR. He has also been appointed to the management board of Vivendi.
Combes is leaving the post of chief executive of Vodafone Europe to take up the SFR role. He has previously held the positions of chairman and chief of TDF and chief financial officer of France Telecom.
Jean-Bernard Lévy will continue as chairman and chief executive of SFR until August 1, when Combes assumes his new roles.
