Vodafone signs mobile advertising deals in Spain

Vodafone is finalizing the launch of its first value-added service financed through advertising, in its Spanish operations.

The operator has finalized an agreement with Spanish petrochemicals group Cepsa and global soft drinks brand Coca-Cola and, according to sources close to Vodafone, it is in the very advanced stages of the main companies in each sector.

To manage this new business, Vodafone Espana has created a mobile marketing department.
Content and downloads from the Internet through the Vodafone Live! website and instant messaging will be the first to be financed with advertising revenue.
