Webwire: Profit warning hits CWC shares; Twitter buys TweetDeck

Shares in Cable & Wireless spin-off CWC slumped 12% on Wednesday after the company warned that difficult trading conditions in the Caribbean are likely to affect its future earnings.
 
Twitter has acquired TweetDeck in a deal believed to be worth around $40 million (€46 million). The TweetDeck app, which organizes feeds from Twitter and other social networks, has been downloaded 20 million times.
