Webwire: Rogers debuts LTE, SKT keen to buy into Hynix

Canada's Rogers Communications has launched LTE data services in Ottawa. The operator intends to launch in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal - and to introduce 4G smartphones - in the third quarter.
 
SK Telecom and shipbuilding firm STX have both bid an initial 2.4 trillion won ($2.27 billion) for a 15% stake in semiconductor firm Hynix. SK Telecom wants to get its hands on the assets to pursue overseas expansion in areas outside of its core telecom business.
