CCA’s 2018 Mobile Carriers Show: An Unparalleled Networking and Educational Event for Carriers and Industry Stakeholders

By: Steven K. Berry, President & CEO, CCA

Competitive Carriers Association’s (CCA) Mobile Carriers Show (MCS or #MCS2018) is distinctly different from any other industry event, and here’s why: MCS brings together hundreds of carrier key personnel from across the competitive carrier ecosystem, the majority of whom are C-level executives or decision makers.  CCA provides a unique platform for carriers and industry stakeholders to come together for meaningful business meetings, quality networking and top-notch educational opportunities.  Take all of this and add-on exceptional networking events, including an afternoon at Topgolf, this show is one you don’t want to miss.

#MCS2018 returns to Caesars Palace Las Vegas, March 27-29, with an exciting lineup of dynamic speakers that will share revenue generating ideas and solutions for carriers.  During the “Pitch Perfect Luncheon” session on Wednesday, March 28, sponsoring companies will face-off in a friendly competition, showcasing innovative products and services that can help drive revenue for carriers.  Keynote presenters include John Dwyer, President & CEO, Interop Technologies; Mark Landiak, President & Founder, Corporate Dynamics, Inc.; Amy McCune, Head of Customer Unit Regional Carriers, Ericsson North America; George Reed, SVP of Marketing and Solution Sales, Huawei; and Andi Reinhard, Director of Technical Solutions for Wireless Infrastructure, ZTE.

Prior to the opening of MCS, CCA will host two event partners, Wireless Repair EXPO 2018 and The Besen Group Seminar, on Tuesday, March 27.  Wireless Repair EXPO 2018, produced by The Branding Network, is the premier networking destination for professionals in the wireless repair community.  The program will include an educational workshop and also a specialty pavilion on the MCS show floor featuring exhibitors showcasing “best in class” in the aftercare of devices, wireless repair and reverse logistics.  The Besen Group Seminar, entitled “The New Business Model: When Mobile, Fixed Wireless, Cable, Satellite and Small Cells Converge,” will feature industry leaders who will share strategies, business models and key success factors to deliver a new customer experience in the converged ecosystem.  The Besen Group will present case studies on Altice USA, Charter Communications, Starry and Globalstar, and will provide insightful information.

The MCS educational program will delve into a variety of interesting topics including the business case for fixed wireless, IMS and VoLTE, using business analytics to prioritize network investment and optimization, best practices in front-line retail, network slicing, spectrum policies, the value proposition for small cells in rural markets, and more.  New to the educational program this year is a professional development training program hosted by Women Empowered – CCA Networking (we-CCAn).  This interactive session entitled “Upgrading Your Professional Story” will utilize practical and applied tools to help attendees explore how they can become a better storyteller.  All attendees are welcome to join the we-CCAn session at no additional cost.

CCA’s Start-up Pavilion will return with early-stage companies demonstrating new products and services for the mobile industry.  Companies will showcase their latest offerings in the exhibit hall and will give brief presentations in a “Meet the Start-ups” session on Thursday, March 29.  Attendees will vote for a winner, who will receive a prize package valued at over $10K.  As of February 16, participating start-ups include AC&C, LLC, Cellbie, DD Group, eVero Displays, LotusFlare, PrologMobile and Telecom Birddogs, LLC.

Several networking events are open to attendees as well including an afternoon at Topgolf Las Vegas, a Viva Las Vegas Party, and cocktail receptions in the exhibit hall.  With all of this and more available to attendees, CCA’s 2018 Mobile Carriers Show is a must-attend industry event.  Register early for the best rates; don’t miss out on this unique carrier-focused show.
