AlcaLu, Cassidian to offer LTE in 400 MHz band

Cassidian, an EADS Company, and Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE:ALU) announced a joint development agreement that calls for the two companies to offer LTE for emergency response and security communications systems in the 400 MHz band, which is used internationally by public safety. The joint Alcatel-Lucent and Cassidian offering will support broadband data services such as mobile video security, location-based video services and smart vehicle integration of devices and applications to complement the current voice and data systems.
