Alvarion scores deal with India's BSNL for rural WiMAX network

Alvarion and lndian partner Vuppalamritha Magnetic Components scored a contract with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) to rollout a WiMAX network in rural India. VMC will use Alvarion's 4Motion solution, including BreezeMAX base stations, in the 2.5 GHz frequency. The rollout is expected to begin in the next few months and will enable delivery of wireless broadband services by BSNL. Release
