C Spire dishes on LTE plans in three states

C Spire Wireless announced plans to dramatically expand its LTE services in Mississippi as well as roll out LTE in south Alabama and northwest Florida by year's end. C Spire will continue its existing LTE deployment in Mississippi, where it will add service beginning in August and wrapping up in November across 71 cities and 51 counties with a population of nearly 500,000. The rollout will include 205 cell sites. C Spire introduced LTE last year in Mississippi, and LTE service will be available to nearly six out of every 10 consumers and businesses in that state when the latest phase is completed this year.

In addition, the operator will deploy 146 LTE cell sites in Alabama and Florida, bringing LTE to 21 cities and six counties and covering 700,000 POPs. Most of the area is expected to have the new service in November, with some areas activated later in the year. For more, see this C Spire release.
