Can investors stomach Clearwire?

Investors will continue to have a love-hate relationship with Clearwire. The company is incurring some pretty steep losses as it builds out its network. It lost $92.6 million in the first quarter, compared with a loss of $55.3 million a year ago (see story #2). Those losses are expected to continue as Clearwire embarks on rolling out new markets as well as acquiring more spectrum. Can investors stomach it? You have to think that the company will eventually receive a nice fat offer from some highly leveraged company that wants a piece of the WiMAX market. The question is when? --Lynnette
