Not everyone is calling 802.11ac "5G Wi-Fi-Broadcom's house term for its new 802.11ac chips-but the tag sufficiently captures what the next Wi-Fi standard will bring to the table. This week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Broadcom, Quantenna and others will be talking up the new technology, which could really propel the market for wireless HD video in the home.
