Cisco, Neul join MulteFire Alliance

While the MulteFire Alliance is hosting an Open Day and Technical Workshop in Beijing today, the organization has announced that Cisco and Neul, a subsidiary of Huawei, have joined the alliance.

The MulteFire Alliance is developing the MulteFire specification Release 1.0 based on 3GPP Release 13 and Release 14 advancements, including downlink and uplink in unlicensed spectrum. Release 1.0 is scheduled to be published in the fourth quarter of this year.

The workshop in Beijing includes technical presentations on MulteFire's end-to-end architecture and neutral host capabilities and MulteFire's radio link, as well as panel discussions featuring Baicells, Nokia and Qualcomm. Release
