Engineers finish VoLTE interoperability testing

The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) has finished Voice over LTE (VoLTE) interoperability testing. More than 70 engineers from 22 multimedia communication companies participated in the week-long interoperability testing exercise during an event known as IMTC SuperOp! 2011 in Waikoloa, Hawaii. The testing covered equipment and service interoperability on combinations of IP, 3G and LTE networks and not only covered VoLTE, but a number of technologies ranging from IMS to HTTP live streaming.
