FirstNet responds to RFI questions

The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) posted its answers to questions received from potential respondents to 10 Requests for Information (RFIs) issued earlier this month regarding the radio access network (RAN) and core network for the nationwide public safety broadband network (NPSBN) being planned. Detailed answers to more than 100 questions received from equipment manufacturers, service providers, trade associations, local governments, distributors and other stakeholders are available at the www.fedbizopps.gov website. RFI responses are due Aug. 30, 2013, and FirstNet said no extensions will be granted. For more on the responses, see this FirstNet release.
