LightSquared says it signed 17 wholesale LTE deals; TeliaSonera plans aggressive LTE expansion

> Comcast Ventures, the venture capital arm of Comcast, announced it has formed a new company that will own, operate and develop towers across the U.S. The company, CTI Towers, is launching with a portfolio of some 800 towers previously owned and operated by Comcast Cable subsidiaries. CTI plans to lease tower space to wireless operators and other tenants. Release

> Alcatel-Lucent and China Mobile have completed the first stage of testing on the China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China Mobile's TD-LTE trial network in Shanghai. Article

> Sweden's TeliaSonera has announced its expansion targets for its Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile broadband network in 2012. Telia plans to expand LTE to 432 new towns, cities, municipalities, resorts and other locations during the year, taking the total number of locations to 663. Article
