Meet the new editor of FierceWirelessTech

Sue Marek, FierceWirelessI'm excited to introduce the newest member of the Fierce editorial team, Monica Alleven. Monica is the editor of FierceWirelessTech and will be writing about all the latest developments in wireless technology--from LTE Advanced to 5G to Wi-Fi and more.

Many of you will probably recognize Alleven's byline. She covered the wireless industry for more than 20 years as a reporter and then chief editor at Wireless Week.  For the past couple years, she has been working as a freelance journalist overseeing many special editorial projects for Fierce as well as writing for other media outlets.

Alleven joins FierceWirelessTech at a very exciting time. Wireless operators are working overtime to figure out more efficient ways to manage the growing demands for broadband data across their networks.  At the same time, there are new technologies like LTE broadcast that have the potential to let operators deliver video more efficiently across their networks.

Alleven will be exploring these topics and more and weeks and months ahead.  She will be based in Portland, Ore., and you can find her at [email protected] --Sue
