Research: 3G accounts for 20 percent of worldwide connections

Figures released from London-based research firm Wireless Intelligence indicates global 3G connections grew by roughly 60 million in the third quarter but only account for 20 percent of mobile connections around the world, up from 18 percent a year ago.
