SPOTLIGHT: Report: WiMAX gaining ground in Europe

ABI Research says mobile WiMAX is gaining more ground in some European markets as trials are commencing and the ITU agreed to include mobile WiMAX as part of the IMT2000 standard. ABI says that ITU's decision will put mobile WiMAX on equal footing with 3G mobile when it comes to taking advantage of the 3G extension bands, the 2.6 GHz band and possibly existing 3G bands.
