Sprint announces EV-DO Rev. A handset

Sprint announced that it would release a software update for its HTC Mogul handset that would allow the phone to connect to its EV-DO Rev. A network. The HTC Mogul is the first handset to connect to the data network, which has been restricted to data cards for laptops up until this point. Verizon Wireless also has an EV-DO rev. A network, but to date it has only been used for laptop data cards, too.
