In-Stat: UWB effectively dead in PC and CE markets

In-Stat is declaring ultrawideband (UWB) technology is effectively dead in consumer and computer markets. In a new report, the firm said WiFi will dominate the market for handline high definition over wireless links with WiFi variants and 60 GHz options gaining some ground. In-Stat principal analyst Brian O'Rourke predicted UWB solutions in the CE segment will vanish by 2012 and be gone from the PC segment by 2013. Article
