Alcatel-Lucent success depends on growth of CDMA

According to a recent report from Probe Financial Associates, the success of the Alcatel-Lucent merger depends on growth in nine key areas, with the continued ascendancy of CDMA technologies chief among them. The merger makes Alcatel the leader in CDMA technology, which means it has to continue to propel above average growth for the technology and that means hanging on to Lucent's big accounts. The analyst firm also predicted that the next big move in wireless infrastructure consolidation will involve Nortel.
