Altera, Sequans unveil mobile WiMAX chipset

Altera and Sequans Communications have announced the availability of their mobile WiMAX basestation modem chipset, which supports the recently ratified 802.16e-2005 standard. The chipset supports the first-wave certification profile stage and subsequent waves will bring new profiles and new functions accordingly.
