Amid iPhone and Nexus phone launches, Samsung offers $120 discount on Galaxy S6, Note 5

Under a new promotion, Samsung said it will pay up to $120 to customers who purchase one of the company's new Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, or Galaxy Note 5 smartphones. The new promotion appears timed to coincide with the launch of Apple's new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus and Google's rumored Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X.

Indeed, Samsung is taking specific aim at iPhone users. In addition to the $120 discount, the company said users who trade in an iPhone 4S or newer will get an additional $100 Google Play gift card.

Interestingly, as The Verge points out, AT&T customers are excluded from Samsung's new promotion. Article
