Apple denies wireless iPod rumor

The notoriously coy marketing department at Apple has thrown cold water on rumors that an upcoming iPod will feature wireless capabilities, like its rival PMP, Microsoft's Zune. Of course, for what seems like years now, the rumor mill has churned out many an iPhone fish tale. As Gartner's notorious hype cycle thesis posits, Apple is wise to manage expectations now and deny it all, especially if they're gearing up for a wireless device at the turn of 2007/2008. Wink, wink.
