Are postpaid subs switching to prepaid?

If the economy continues to slide, some postpaid subscribers will likely switch to cheaper prepaid plans. According to research from Opinion Research Corp., about 39 percent of American cell phone users said they would likely cut back on their cell phone usage over the next six months if the economy does not improve. The survey, which queried about 2,000 U.S. cell phone users said that 26 percent of users with contract-based cell phones said they are more like to switch to prepaid plans than they were six months ago.
