Aruba Networks launched Mobile Edge, an enterprise-class security offering that extends the corporate WLAN to wherever the user is located. After connecting one of the company's new AP's to an Internet connection, the user gains access to a secure corporate hotspot that can facilitate wVoIP and data services. Aruba's new offering includes site-to-site VPN capabilities that enable the use of Aruba mobility controllers in branch offices as a secure wired/wireless networking system. Enterprises can also overlay the system on their existing networks in-house without the need for a drastic overhaul.
