BET teams with Motricity for mobile content deal

Cable network Black Entertainment Television (BET) is teaming up with mobile solutions provider Motricity to launch its own mobile service. The BET Mobile brand will integrate its content offerings with the network's on-air programming. Certain BET shows will advertise ringtones and other mobile content while they are on-air and allow BET Mobile customers to purchase the content by sending a text message. The service is available to Sprint, Cingular and T-Mobile subscribers. It will be available to Alltel, Nextel (pre-merger) and Verizon subscribers in early 2006.
