Had an interesting chat with Larry Shapiro of the Walt Disney Internet Group / Starwave Mobile team. The upcoming Beyonce game they’re developing in partnership with Sony BMG is not going to be your basic downloadable game that you just play and forget about. Instead, it’ll be more like a Beyonce application on your phone, with the content and the interactivity taking place on a central server where new content for the game is constantly being added. Further details to follow, but it sounds like this one is going to push the envelope and help redefine what a mobile game is and can be.
