BT Group is looking to jump deeper into the mobile TV business, playing a role much like that of Modeo and MediaFLO in the US. The UK company, which last week announced that Virgin Mobile would be the first company to use its BT Movio digital mobile TV service, said it is working with ZTE to develop a 3G mobile handset capable of running several modes of TV formats. Through the handset, the company hopes to entice mobile operators to make wholesale deals for mobile TV and DAB digital radio services.
