C&L: C&D names Michael Crowley VP and CIO

C&D Technologies announced that Michael Crowley has joined the company as vice president and CIO.

Russia-based Mobile TeleSystems appointed Eric Franke vice president and COO of MTS. The company appointed Mikhail Shamolin vice president for sales and
customer service. Mobile TeleSystems also named Tatiana Evtushenkova vice president for strategy and corporate development.

SpectraLink has named Masood Garahi its executive vice president of engineering and chief technology officer.

M-Defend, a subsidiary of Mobile Assets, appointed Retired General Richard Wilmot to its advisory board.

Wireless Facilities named David Claassen vice president of Internet Protocol and core network engineering for its U.S. Wireless Network Services division. Claassen most recently served as vice president of engineering development at Nextel.
