Bell Canada hired George Cope as CEO. Cope recently quit as Telus Mobility's CEO.

Nortel Networks appointed Mike Zafirovski as president and CEO, replacing Bill Owens, who resigned from the position. Nortel also named Mario DiMascio as VP of enterprise sales in the UK.

Motorola appointed Jose Figueroa as Corporate VP and Regional Manager of EMEA for Motorola Networks and appointed Margaret Rice-Jones as corporate VP and general manager of its core networks business within Motorola Networks.

MCI named Robert Davenport to its board of directors.

VoIP, Inc. named B. Michael Adler its new chairman and CEO and David Sasnett as CFO. Steven Ivester, founder, chairman and CEO, will become the company's corporate strategist.

Ward Cunningham, the father of the the Wiki concept, left Microsoft for a new position at the open-source Eclipse Foundation.

Victor Cohn resigned as chairman of Dwango Wireless.

Ron Strich joined Tendril as senior VP of business development.

The Management Network Group appointed Andrew Cole as president of TMNG Strategy, the company's strategic consulting practice.

Telecom elected David Gibbons to its board of directors. Gibbons will fill the vacancy left by Raymond Cyr, who has stepped down from the board.

SanDisk appointed Milo Azarmsa as VP of operations finance and Barry Kasarda as VP of supply chain planning.

Aperto Networks appointed Glenn Tamaru as VP of operations.

Digicel announced its management team for its operations in Haiti will be led by Ghada Gebara as CEO, with Bernard Yacoub serving as CTO and Issa Touma as CFO.

Veraz Networks named Mohan Loke as general manager of development operations in India.

Alcatel's senior VP for human resources, Thomas Edig, is joining T-Com, the fixed network group of Deutsche Telekom, as board member in charge of HR.
