Cadence releases RF design kit

Cadence Design Systems has released a new wireless design kit for RF designers. The company hopes that its RF Design Methodology Kit will help RF engineers working with RF transceivers, a core component of all wireless devices, achieve shorter and more predictable design cycles by better ensuring that silicon performance matches design intent. The kit focuses on front-to-back RF IC design and addresses behavioral modeling, circuit simulation, layout, parasitic extraction and re-simulation and inductor synthesis. The package provides an 802.11 b/g WLAN transceiver reference design, an RF verification IP suite, test plans and applicability training on RF design and analysis methodologies.
