Garmin debuted its GPS-centric handset, nuvifone, earlier this year just before the Mobile World Congress show, but now the company claims that "a number of wireless carriers in our primary markets" are interested in carrying the new phone. Many carriers already offer substantial location-based services developed by Garmin's myriad competitors, which could make finding a home for the GPS device in the U.S. a tough sell.
