China Mobile lifts Sohu.com ban ahead of schedule

According to Chinese mobile content provider Sohu.com, China Mobile has lifted its ban on the service effective August 1, one month ahead of schedule. Last year China Mobile banned some mobile content providers from its network for sending unsolicited material to its subscribers. Sohu.com was ordered to pay damages and was banned from China Mobile's network for one year. Earlier this week, Sohu.com said its second-quarter profit slid to $7.1 million while total revenue dropped to $25.9 million.
