MetroPCS named Thomas Keys as successor to current chairman and CEO Roger Linquist, who is expected to scale back his involvement in the company in the months ahead. Linquist might announce his retirement by the end of the year. Keys was the SVP of market operations and is now the COO and president. Keys previously served as MetroPCS' VP and general manager of the Dallas market.
