Cingular's ad agency takes the helm at AT&T

AT&T has appointed Omnicom Group's BBDO the lead agency for the carrier's sizable $3.3 billion advertising account, according to a report from RCR News. BBDO was the lead agency for Cingular, which AT&T acquired. AT&T's former lead advertising agency, GSD&M will remain onboard at AT&T for consumer products advertising, but it will report to BBDO. In the past, both agencies reported to AT&T marketing executives.
