It's no secret that Motorola needs to regroup and forge a strategy to reclaim market share and confidence on Wall Street, and that's why CEO Ed Zander's decision to cancel his appearance as a keynote speaker at CTIA is quite understandable. Neither CTIA nor Motorola offered an explanation for the executive's decision, however, it seems all too clear. Financial metrics aside, Zander is also busy fending off shareholder and corporate raider, Carl Icahn who wants to snag a seat on the company's board of directors.
